Los Corredores/The canyons
Welcome to our incredible dive site close to the beautiful coast of Cala Blanca in Spain. This dive site, known for its unique tunnels perpendicular to the coast, offers an unforgettable underwater experience. These tunnels have sections of collapsed roof, creating an enchanting atmosphere for divers. For those with the appropriate skill level, there is even an opportunity to explore a chimney. Don't forget to bring your flashlight for an enhanced diving experience.
As you enter the tunnels, you'll be greeted by a diverse array of marine life. Keep an eye out for cardinal fish, meagres, and groupers. You can also spot striped red mullets, white seabreams, two banded seabreams, ornate wrasses, rainbow wrasses, and sea urchins.
To begin your dive, we start from a depth of 18 meters and ascend through a tunnel with open sections of the roof, allowing rays of sunlight to illuminate the path ahead. At the entrance and to the left of the first corridor, you'll discover a small cave teeming with cardinal fish. Continuing through the tunnel, you'll encounter a fork where turning right leads you to a circular space with a sunk roof, providing a perfect habitat for meagres and groupers. On the left side of this space, there is an arch that you can pass through to explore a cave, followed by a narrow passage that resembles a chimney. As per your skill level, you can navigate through this captivating route.
The next tunnel you'll encounter is called the "Tunnel of the Lovers," named for its arch shaped like a heart. Passing under the arch, you'll make your way back to the boat, gliding over Neptune grass and admiring the vibrant striped red mullets, saddled seabream, salemas, white seabreams, two banded seabreams, ornate wrasses, rainbow wrasses, sea urchins, Mediterranean moreys, and octopuses hiding among the rocks. During the return navigation, we typically make a safety stop. If needed, this can be done directly at the anchorage, allowing you to comfortably ascend to the surface.
With a visibility of 22m and a maximum depth of 17m, this dive site offers an ideal experience for both beginner and advanced divers.
