The Mediterranean habitat boasts a rich collection of fauna, including spits, breams, moray eels, lobsters, octopuses, and an impressive variety of nudibranchs. This makes it an ideal destination for divers seeking an immersive experience with the local underwater inhabitants.
Renowned as one of the area's iconic diving spots, the Moro Rock (known to fishermen) begins at ground level, precisely at the Levante rock and only three meters away from the Garbí rock. During calm weather, the peak of the rock may be obscured from view. However, the anchor line drops right into the middle of the two rocks, within the canyon. It provides a safe and comfortable starting point, particularly suitable for divers with an Open Water Diver certification.
As divers venture deeper, the canyon serves as a path leading southward, with the majestic Muladera prominently positioned on the left. The maximum depth of this dive is 24 meters, and it is at this level that a captivating conglomerate of rocks awaits, providing a habitat for the abundant marine life typical of the Costa Brava region.
Upon reaching the end of the rocks, the manometer reminds divers that they have reached the halfway point of their air supply, signaling the time to turn back and return to the surface. During the safety stop, divers can marvel at the numerous nudibranchs and octopuses that adorn the canyon walls, adding a captivating finale to the dive.
Divers can expect a visibility of 14 meters and a maximum depth of 21 meters at this dive site. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced diver, this dive site offers an extraordinary underwater experience in the beautiful waters of Spain.
