Sa Caleta Dive: Ideal for Beginner Divers and Underwater Photographers

Discover the beauty of the Mediterranean Sea at Sa Caleta, the perfect dive site for beginner divers in the scenic coastal town of Lloret de Mar, Spain. With its ease of orientation and shallow depth, this dive offers an excellent opportunity for divers to explore the underwater wonders with confidence.

Boasting a visibility of 12m, Sa Caleta provides a clear and mesmerizing view of the diverse marine life that inhabits the area. From vibrant Sargos and maidens to exquisite gilthead sea bream and small hues, divers will encounter a variety of species, including some curious groupers. The sandy areas are home to sole and conger eels, adding to the enchantment of the dive.

Sa Caleta's allure extends beyond daylight hours, making it an ideal location for night dives. Under the moonlit sky, divers can witness the transformation of the marine world as nocturnal creatures emerge from their hiding spots. The calm waters and shallow depths ensure long, enthralling dives, allowing underwater photographers to capture stunning images of this hidden realm.

Beyond its underwater marvels, Sa Caleta also offers an opportunity to practice and hone your underwater navigation skills. The entrance to this dive site is mainly composed of small stones, with an occasional sighting of octopus. To the right of the cove, along the coast's profile, a massive stone awaits divers at a depth of six meters. This stone is adorned with various types of anemones, hedgehogs, and the typical Mediterranean fauna.

Embark on a captivating journey by starting the dive to the left, where the rocky bottom gradually descends to six meters before giving way to the sandy seabed. Following the coast's profile, you'll encounter charming, posidonia-filled areas that showcase the excellent condition of this vital underwater plant. As you venture further, the sandy bottom transforms into rocky terrain, revealing canyons and walls that reach a maximum depth of eight meters. To ensure a safe return, simply follow the wall on your right-hand side as indicated by your manometer.

Conveniently located near the Levante end of the Lloret de Mar beach, Sa Caleta offers easy access for divers. Close to the Parking bicicletes at Cami de Ronda, it provides a seamless starting point for your underwater adventure. Immerse yourself in the captivating underwater world of Sa Caleta, where beginner divers, underwater photographers, and enthusiasts of night dives will find a haven of tranquility and natural beauty.
