Twann, Bielersee
During your dive, you can expect to encounter a variety of aquatic life including pike, perch, and catfish. However, please note that the number of fish may be less during winter. On the bright side, you will have the opportunity to spot numerous crayfish.
Our dive site is not only great for recreational diving but also suitable for Open Water Diver (OWD) training. Additionally, it provides an ideal environment for honing your navigation skills. Once you've carefully descended the stairs (mind the slippery steps, hold onto the railing), you can embark on an exciting journey towards the east, leading to the captivating "canyons" of the Twannbach. The ground conditions in this area are particularly intriguing. Along the canyon, you will swiftly descend to a depth of 24 meters and then proceed along a small wall, heading west, before circling back at approximately 12 meters. As you explore the underwater landscape, you'll come across a small sailboat (gradually vanishing into the mud) located to the right of the entrance.
Please be aware that the dive site is situated in a public bathing area, so on weekends and during school holidays when the weather is splendid, expect a large number of people enjoying the nearby meadow. To conveniently access the entrance, park your vehicle in the available blue zone parking located on the opposite side of the railway. Please note that there are only six parking spaces available, which tend to fill up quickly on pleasant days. Thankfully, reaching the entrance is a breeze thanks to the underpass.
