Access to the dive site is conveniently located under the bridge on dry land. Please be mindful of park rules and ensure the turning area near the Gipsunion remains clear. Two entry points are available for divers' convenience. The new ladder, installed since 2018, offers a comfortable and easy entry option. Alternatively, divers can choose to enter via the shore stones near the peninsula. Ascend the access ladder and head towards the Interlaken direction. The terrain gradually becomes flatter with subtle undulations. As you approach Thun, dive out approximately 10m to discover the remains of an old truck, its wooden loading bridge now submerged in the mud (about 100m before the exit). Follow the dive out towards the exit ladder. If preferred, divers can also opt to explore the direction of Thun, encountering numerous large stones that harbor burbot and a plethora of crabs. Please note that diving around the peninsula is strictly prohibited. At the peninsula, make a graceful turn back towards the exit.
For divers choosing the peninsula shore entrance, exercise caution as you navigate the shore blocks. Begin your dive towards the magnificent Interlaken. Upon entry, dive directly down to your desired depth and then continue towards Interlaken, keeping the slope side on your right shoulder. At approximately 25m, a captivating mud slope unfolds, offering a unique underwater experience. Dive towards Thun, traversing small canyons, gullies, and captivating rock formations.
