Bay 2 Racha Yai
This dive site is situated in the second bay on the eastern side of Ratchayi Island, Thailand. With a maximum depth of 18m and visibility reaching up to 17m, it provides an ideal location for beginner divers. The tranquil surroundings feature white sandy soil adorned with roots, creating a picturesque setting. The area encompasses a series of concrete artificial fish reefs facing offshore, offering a habitat for numerous fish species. One of the highlights is the recently sunken ship in the deeper waters.
Divers are encouraged to explore the diverse marine life within the coral reefs and shallow roots, where an abundance of light creates a vibrant environment. Be on the lookout for the sand-dwelling chinangoes, as well as buried stingrays and nudibranchs. Depending on the time of year, it is not uncommon to witness large schools of Taiwan pike, popularly known as yellowfin barracuda.
