Windmill Shallows

The ridge known as "Sherwood Forest" continues at a depth of approximately 17 m / 50 ft and gradually slopes down to a maximum depth of 48 m / 150 ft on the outside. This underwater terrain features a remarkable abundance of Sea Plume Forests, with interspersed sections of hard coral that are adorned with beautiful gorgonians. Additionally, the top of the ridge offers small sandy areas and underhangs, creating perfect hiding spots for lobsters to seek shelter.

Divers can also expect to encounter an array of pelagic species, particularly mackerel that can be found along the edge of the ridge. If you have a keen eye, you may even spot Simnias and Whip coral shrimps hiding in the coral formations. However, locating these elusive creatures may pose a challenge.

Located in Grenada, this dive site is close to Morne Rouge, Saint George, 1473, offering convenient access for divers of all levels. From beginners to advanced and expert divers, everyone can explore the captivating underwater world of Sherwood Forest. With a visibility of 13m and a maximum depth of 26m, this site provides an ideal environment for divers to immerse themselves in the rich marine life of Grenada.
