Escape Reef

Located on the Caribbean side just before reaching the Atlantic, this dive site is known as "2 Kts" due to its strong currents. Divers should be prepared to encounter a wide variety of marine life at a rapid pace. The depth of the sections ranges from 12 meters (40 ft) to 21 meters (72 ft), with some areas reaching 30 meters (100 ft). Vibrant colors are provided by the presence of large Elephant ear and Barrel sponges. Depending on the current, divers can expect to see schools of Creole wrasse and a few Horse eye jacks. If fortunate, a sighting of a school of Barracuda may also be possible. With a visibility of 17 meters and a maximum depth of 17 meters, this dive site is suitable for both beginner and advanced divers. Its location near Morne Rouge, Saint George, 1473, Grenada makes it easily accessible for divers visiting Grenada.
