Tyrrel Bay

In 2018, a 100ft / 30 mtr ex coastguard cutter sank in the waters of Grenada. This wreck, with its engines and doors removed, provides the perfect opportunity for divers to undertake wreck courses and penetration/exploration dives. For those certified divers seeking an exciting underwater adventure, this site is a must-visit.

Located just behind the coastguard cutter, divers will find the remains of a Concrete-built Cuban fishing boat. Over time, this wreck has become a vibrant ecosystem, covered in beautiful corals and sponges. Inside the wreck, divers may even catch a glimpse of glassy sweepers, a species of fish that have made this wreck their home.

Despite being relatively new, the wreck site is quickly being colonized by marine life, creating a thriving underwater habitat. In fact, one of the resident creatures that can be spotted here is a Barracuda, which seems to have claimed the wreck as its own.

With a maximum depth of 20m and visibility reaching up to 14m, this dive site offers an immersive experience for advanced divers. Situated near Belmont, Grand Anse, Saint George, Grenada, this location provides easy access for divers looking to explore the fascinating underwater world of Grenada's wrecks.
