TALABO THILA

Located just a short 15-minute boat ride northwest of Le Meridien in the beautiful waters of Maldives, you'll discover Talabo Thila. This dive site, suitable for all experience levels, offers an easy and enjoyable underwater adventure. Despite its name, which means "bald person" in Divehi, Talabo Thila may lack the stunning coral formations typically found in the area. However, it compensates with its vibrant fish population and captivating coral blocks.

Descending from around 5 meters, the dive takes you to a sandy bottom at approximately 20-25 meters. Here, you have the chance to spot elusive porcupine stingrays leisurely nestled in the sand. Along the reef, you may also encounter sleeping nurse sharks. Both the sharks and stingrays are more active during the night, but during the day, they can often be observed lazily napping or being cleaned by helpful cleaner wrasses.
