SALLEYDHOO THILA

Salleydhoo Thila is a captivating dive site situated approximately a 15-minute boat ride to the north of Le Meridien Maldives. This dive spot boasts a unique topography, deviating from the typical round-ish shape of a thila (an underwater mount commonly found in the Maldives). Instead, Salleydhoo Thila features two elongated tongues reaching a depth of 20 – 22 meters.

The highlight of these tongues is the abundant presence of thousands of glassfish, creating a mesmerizing spectacle. Exploring the thila itself reveals a thriving marine ecosystem brimming with various species of surgeonfish. Coral blocks often house the antennae of lobsters, while scorpion fish can frequently be spotted in the vicinity. Moreover, Salleydhoo Thila is a haven for anemone fish enthusiasts.

With a maximum depth of 20 meters and a visibility of 16 meters, this dive site caters to divers of all experience levels, from beginner to advanced and expert. Located in Maldives' Lhaviyani atoll, Salleydhoo Thila offers an unforgettable underwater adventure in these crystal-clear waters.
