Ras Abdallah
Located just a 25-minute boat ride north of Makadi Bay in Egypt's Red Sea Governorate, this dive site offers an incredible underwater experience. The fringing reef along the coast leads to a diverse underwater landscape. The reef slope gently descends to a depth of 15 meters, followed by a plateau at 22 meters. Beyond this point, a steep slope plunges down to approximately 70 meters. Divers can expect light to medium currents coming from the north as they explore the outside of this steep slope, entering the shallower areas.
Along the wall of the dive site, there is an abundance of marine life to discover. Large table corals provide shelter for tunas and jacks, while moray eels and occasionally sleeping reef sharks can be spotted. One must also keep an eye out for stone fish, adding to the excitement and diversity of marine species.
With a visibility of 21 meters and a maximum depth of 14 meters, this dive site is suitable for both beginner and advanced divers. Whether you are just starting your diving journey or looking for a new adventure, this site promises an easy to medium degree of difficulty for all explorers.
