El Mina, wreck
The El Mina, a Russian-built Minesweeper wreck, is situated just outside Hurghada Marina in Egypt. This dive site holds historical significance as it met its fate in early June 1970 during the 6 Day War when Israeli aircraft attacked the port of Hurghada. The vessel was struck by an Israeli missile, causing it to sink in its anchored position at a depth of 30m.
