Lotus Bay House Reef

The Lotus Bay dive site boasts a fantastic shore dive opportunity with its remarkable house reef. Easily accessible from the beach, this reef descends to a maximum depth of 9m, making it an excellent choice for extended dives. Exploring this site reveals an enchanting seagrass meadow, serving as a habitat for three turtles and a diverse array of marine life. Along the reef, divers will cross paths with angelfish, moray eels, crocodile fish, and coral catfish.

While the house reef may not host large corals, it is teeming with numerous captivating underwater creatures such as shrimps, moray eels, and various fish species. From scorpionfish, zebra lionfish, and the Red Sea lionfish to the ever-present crocodile fish, every dive promises exciting encounters. Lucky divers might even catch a glimpse of an immense leopard stingray gracefully gliding near the reef. In the adjacent seagrass meadow, turtles find their sanctuary, and keen-eyed divers may discover elusive seahorses and seagrass ghost fish.
