La Mona

The Mona is a small wreck located in the waters of France, specifically in La Lèque, Six-Fours-les-Plages, Toulon, Var, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur. Sunk in 1987, this French Navy harbor tug sits on a sandy bottom, slightly inclined to starboard. With a maximum depth of 31 meters and a visibility of 16 meters, it is easily accessible for both beginner and advanced divers.

Measuring about fifteen meters in length, this charming wreck offers a unique experience for underwater photography enthusiasts. Despite its age, the small cabin remains intact, protecting the steel helm in excellent condition. However, the propeller is no longer visible due to natural concretion and the presence of bryozoans and crustaceans.

Diving the Mona provides divers with the opportunity to encounter various marine species. One can observe a grouper near the wreck, while under the hull, a conger eel and moray eels can be spotted.
