Tug 2, Sliema

Tug2, a former working tugboat in Grand Harbour of Valletta, has been transformed into an artificial reef and a popular attraction for divers. Originally sunk parallel to the reef at a distance of around 20m, a storm in October 2016 caused the wreck to crash into the reef, now resting bow first.

Divers exploring this site will have the opportunity to encounter a variety of marine life, including Mediterranean sea bream, stingrays, moray eels, grouper, common octopus, cuttlefish, red starfish, damselfish, and many other vibrant reef fish.

Situated in Malta's Central Region, specifically at the Wreck of Tug2 located in Triq it-Torri, Sliema, this dive site offers great visibility of up to 15m and reaches a maximum depth of 19m. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced diver, this captivating underwater experience is accessible to all.
