SS Regolo (Wreck)

The Regolo, moored at Senj Harbor, was loading a cargo of timber when it encountered a violent snowstorm with temperatures plummeting to 17 degrees Celsius below zero. Despite the impressive power of its steam engine, the ship was torn away from its moorings and drifted towards the center of Velebitski Channel, ultimately sinking to a depth of 65m.

Diving enthusiasts would be thrilled to explore the wreckage of the Regolo. This mesmerizing site offers encounters with a variety of marine life, including scorpionfish, lobster, and schools of damselfish, among many other typical Adriatic fish species.

Located off the coast of Primorje-Gorski Kotar County in Croatia, this dive site is renowned for its optimal conditions. With a visibility of 20m and a maximum depth of 45m, the Regolo is a challenging dive suitable for only the most experienced divers. Embark on an unforgettable underwater adventure and immerse yourself in the captivating beauty of this Croatian dive gem.
