Pink Marlin Buoy

Located in Onna Village on the main island of Okinawa, Cape Maeda is a renowned dive site just an hour away from Naha Airport via the Okinawa Expressway. Situated within a resort area with a variety of hotels, this spot is highly popular among divers visiting Okinawa.

Divers at Cape Maeda can witness the incredible marine life that inhabits the water's surface, including glacier bears, glukuns, and damselflies. Schools of damselfish, Ryukyu damselfish, Scorpionfish, and Snappers can also be observed. Additionally, rare humpback clams and sea turtles are frequently encountered during dives, offering a truly unique underwater experience.

Access to Cape Maeda can be conveniently achieved through boat or by entering directly from the beach. One of the main highlights of the site is the magnificent "Blue Cave," named for the stunning blue hues that illuminate the cave when sunlight enters. Divers have the opportunity to explore and even surface within the cave, making it an incredibly popular choice for both snorkelers and divers alike.

Cape Maeda offers excellent visibility of 18m, with a maximum depth of 17m, making it suitable for divers of various skill levels including beginners and advanced. Located in Japan, this dive site is closely situated near other attractions such as the Blue Grotto and Onna Sunset Coast Road in Yamada, Onna, Kunigami, Okinawa Prefecture, 904-0416.
