The shallow areas, which are about 5 meters deep, are teeming with soft corals, creating a vibrant and colorful underwater landscape. As you venture further south, the deeper regions reveal a sandy muddy bottom. One notable feature of this dive site is a peculiar boulder on the deepest part of the western side. Resembling granite, it is often referred to as a "stone circle." It is believed that this boulder may have been a tombstone from a ship's cargo. The reasons behind its presence in this particular location remain unknown, adding an air of mystery to the dive.
The marine life at this dive site is abundant and diverse. Species such as the orthodox spiny dogfish, wrasse, butterflyfish, and sea otters can be commonly observed. Additionally, various species of clownfish can be found here, with the exception of the red clownfish. During the winter months, you may also encounter rare nudibranchs, adding to the excitement of the dive.
For those interested in symbiotic gobies, the sandy area on the south side of the dive site, known as the sand and mud mansion, offers a great opportunity to observe a variety of these fascinating creatures. One such goby species found here is the Newdow's Goby.
