Palmetto Keyhole
Key Hole, one of the characteristic channels found in Roatan, Honduras, offers divers a captivating underwater landscape to explore. Starting at a depth of approximately 30ft, this dive site features impressive overhangs and reef walls that guide divers through the channel.
Divers can expect to encounter a variety of marine life, including butterflyfish, fan worms, small leaf hanging vines, star coral, and soft corals such as plumes and rods. Schools of black durgon and yellowtail snapper can also be spotted, adding to the vibrant marine ecosystem of the area.
As divers descend further into the channel, the depth gradually reaches up to 100ft, accompanied by awe-inspiring walls on either side that extend all the way to the water's surface. With a visibility of 21m and a maximum depth of 22m, Key Hole is suitable for divers of beginner and advanced levels.
