The dive begins along the captivating wall, which descends vertically from 10 to 12 meters and reaches a maximum depth of 40 to 42 meters. The wall is teeming with cracks, crevices, and holes, providing an ideal refuge for lobsters, congers, and even cat sharks. Divers may also have the opportunity to spot cat shark eggs in the area between 30 to 40 meters. After approximately 15 to 20 minutes of diving, divers will reach a canyon, where the steep wall continues to ascend towards the top of Metlikova. Here, divers can choose to continue their dive along the wall or explore the area between 12 to 18 meters, where a small plateau offers crevices that are favored hiding spots for conger eels. Once the dive time reaches around 30 minutes or a diver's residual pressure drops to 100 bar, it is recommended to begin the return journey towards the shallow area between 5 to 12 meters. Along the way, divers will pass through terraces that showcase a stunning variety of vegetation and numerous gold sponges, making it a highlight for shallow water enthusiasts. Tip: The native seahorses can often be found hiding within the gold sponge meadows between 3 to 6 meters.
