Located in front of the Carreiros jetty, this dive site in Portugal is easily accessible either by the beach or by boat. The underwater terrain offers a varied relief with a combination of rocks and sandy passages. Divers can explore depths ranging from 3 to 20 meters, depending on the distance from the coast.
Divers of all levels will have the opportunity to observe an array of marine life at this site. Common sightings include pout, sea bream, mullet, sea bass, octopus, rockfish, conger eels, and various species of crustaceans.
This spacious dive location allows swimmers to navigate effortlessly between scattered rocks and fine white sand areas. While there may be occasional surface currents, bottom currents are practically non-existent. However, since this dive is near the coast, it's important to check sea conditions and be mindful of potential undulations.
With an average visibility of 5 meters, it is recommended to use a 7mm isothermal suit to ensure comfortable temperatures during the dive. The average water temperature is around 13ºC. The best time to experience this dive site is between June and September.
