Hanimaadhoo Faru

This dive is a popular choice for divers of all levels. Located on the west side of Haa Dhaalu, Maldives, just south of the harbor, it offers an exciting underwater experience. The dive typically starts in the shallow lagoon, exploring the sandy patches amidst older coral formations. As you move towards the edge and descend along the wall, you'll eventually reach a sandy bottom at a depth of approximately 25 meters. This area is teeming with life, boasting large blocks of corals and rocks.

During the dive, you'll have the company of schools of fusiliers and yellow snappers, adding vibrant colors to the underwater scenery. Additionally, you may come across nurse sharks and stingrays resting in the overhangs resembling small caves along the wall. Keep your eyes peeled for the occasional sighting of turtles and octopus, along with other fascinating reef dwellers.

With good visibility of 17 meters and a maximum depth of 15 meters, this dive site provides an excellent opportunity for beginners to explore the underwater world. The dive can be completed in just 10 minutes, making it easily accessible for divers. In this area, you might also hear the sounds of dolphins passing through the channel, although spotting them is rare.
