Filladhoo (Wreck)
The Filladhoo wreck is the northernmost wreck site in the Maldives, located in Haa Dhaalu Atoll, close to Filladhoo Island. Some parts of the wreck break the water's surface, making it easily visible. This dive site attracts a variety of marine life, including large green sea turtles, schools of eagle rays, and a plethora of small tropical fish.
The Filladhoo wreck was a supply boat that sank near Filladhoo Island in 1963. Situated on the south side of Filladhoo Island, this site is suitable for divers of all levels due to its shallow depth ranging from 2 to 20 meters. Over the years, the wreck has experienced significant decay, giving it a skeletal appearance from the outside. However, certain sections remain well-preserved. The wreck is adorned with beautiful hard corals and serves as a sanctuary for schools of fusiliers, blue-striped snappers, turtles, and eagle rays. It also offers excellent opportunities for macro life exploration.
