To enter the water, you have two options. You can perform a giant stride entry from the pier or sit at the edge of the lower jetty on the inside of the pier. The lower jetty features a convenient platform where you can store extra equipment while entering and exiting the water.
Within the harbor basin, the water is relatively shallow with a sandy bottom and some larger rocks. Outside of the pier, the depth ranges from 2 to 4 meters, with a sandy bottom and eelgrass. If you venture further out of the bay, you have two options. Swim straight out to encounter a silty bottom or follow the edge of the island Släggö to explore rocky walls, plateaus, and mounds of stones.
Facilities such as restrooms can be found in the yellow house, which also serves as a harbor office and is open for the majority of the year. In addition, a red cabin located on the pier contains essential safety equipment. The key to the cabin can be obtained at Havets Hus, Strandflickorna, and the Dive Center.
