Recifes Artificiais Grandes
This dive site, located in Portugal, consists of artificial concrete structures created by IPIMAR in 2000. It is composed of four modules with approximately 10 to 15 meters between them. The purpose of these structures is to help repopulate the area with various marine species such as sea bream, conger eel, groupers, gobies, spider crabs, and moray eels.
With a maximum depth of 31 meters, this dive site is suitable for divers with Advanced Open Water or equivalent certification. It offers an excellent opportunity for multilevel diving due to the depth and the height of the 9-meter cement blocks. The route to this site takes approximately 20 minutes from the marina of Albufeira, allowing divers to enjoy captivating views of the Portuguese coast along the way.
The visibility here is approximately 6 meters, providing divers with a clear view of the underwater surroundings. Whether you are an experienced diver or seeking to enhance your diving skills, this dive site is an ideal choice. Immerse yourself in the beauty of this unique underwater landscape and explore the fascinating marine life it holds.
