Punta del Vaporcillo
This dive offers fantastic opportunities to observe a diverse range of marine life such as blondes, soles, ratfish, groupers, lemons, mackerels, spiny dogfish, schools of salps, countless nudis, and other exciting surprises.
Conveniently accessible from the beach, this dive is particularly well-suited for divers who enjoy shore diving. Begin by entering the water from "Marina del Este" beach and swim a short distance in a southerly direction on the surface. Upon submerging, the depth will gradually increase but will not exceed 4 to 5 meters. Follow the same course until you reach the stone-sand interface, where the depth will be approximately 7 meters.
Continue along the same profile and you'll encounter a rocky area on your left. Here, you'll be treated to an intricate orography featuring small tunnels and tiny caves. Following this path, you can descend to a maximum depth of 18 meters, which will be the deepest point of your dive. From this point, the depth will gradually decrease. To ensure a safe ascent and avoid decompression, you'll retrace the path at a shallower level, between 12 and 8 meters. This allows for extended bottom time and the opportunity to further enjoy the abundant marine life and gain a deeper understanding of the area's topography.
