Pared Amarilla
As you explore the Yellow Wall, you'll be greeted by a stunning display of orange coral lining the walls. This vibrant backdrop sets the stage for encounters with various marine species, including groupers and conger eels.
The dive begins with large rocks scattered across the seabed, remnants of cliff landslides. These rocks create gaps that serve as shelters for the diverse marine life found in this area. Keep your eyes peeled for serranids such as the "cabrilla" fish and colorful bunting, as well as octopuses and moray eels. Moving forward, the collapsed stones give way to a sheer cliff wall that descends almost vertically, mirroring the aerial structure of the above-ground cliff. The concavities in the rock are adorned with orange coral, providing a safe haven for shoals of bream seeking refuge from the open water.
Venturing further into the dive, you'll encounter the tip of the cliff where more collapsed rocks dot the landscape. Here, you'll have the opportunity to observe abundant octopuses, conger eels, and moray eels. Keep a close eye on the conger eels in their holes, as they often host cleaning shrimp. Noteworthy is a large, flattened stone at the bottom, adorned with small gorgonians.
After approximately 50 meters, it's time to begin the return journey, depending on the pace of your dive and the time you've spent admiring the marine wonders. If you've completed the dive comfortably, you may choose to extend your exploration, following the same wall. It's important to note that the depth of the sandy bottom in this area increases by approximately 3 meters, reaching up to 23.5 meters.
With a visibility of 12 meters, the Yellow Wall promises a captivating underwater adventure for divers of all levels. Immerse yourself in the vibrant marine ecosystem of Spain's Cerro Gordo Natural Park and discover the wonders that await beneath the surface.
