Piedra del Hombre
Underwater, divers will encounter a diverse range of marine life typical of the Mediterranean region. The site is home to groupers, octopus, fredis, bream, snappers, as well as a significant number of nudibranchs. One of the notable attractions of this dive site is the Astroides Calycularis coral.
To ensure the preservation of the delicate rocky substrate, divers anchor on a plain of pebbles at a depth of approximately 8 meters. From this point, they can explore the interface between the rocky and sandy areas, following its profile. Along the way, they will come across a pair of overlapping stones shaped like a tunnel. A few meters ahead, there is an area of landslides that serves as a reference point for the return journey. The depth at this location is 18 meters. To avoid decompression, the return route takes divers along flying rock formations at a depth of 10-12 meters.
During the dive, divers should allocate some extra time to explore a large boulder that breaks the surface. This boulder attracts a significant amount of fish fauna and is also the inspiration behind the site's name.
With a visibility of 12 meters and a maximum depth of 14 meters, this dive site offers an accessible and exciting experience for divers of all levels. Whether you're a beginner looking for training or an experienced diver seeking a unique underwater encounter, this site promises a memorable dive in the clear waters of Spain's Mediterranean coast.
