Situated on the southern side of the island, near the village of Rukavac, you'll find the largest nudist beach on Vis. With its white limestone formations resembling gentle shelves, this beach provides plenty of privacy and is a favorite among tourists. Known as Bili Bok, meaning "white shore," this beach is particularly enchanting during full moonlight when the rocks reflect the light so intensively that the entire peninsula gleams as bright as day.
While the emerged part of Bili Bok offers many advantages, the true beauty lies beneath the water's surface. Divers have the unique opportunity to explore the captivating underwater world just off the popular beach. Whether diving from a boat or the shore, this dive site showcases a gradual slope that descends to a depth of 20m, revealing a striking vertical wall. This short wall is renowned as one of the most fascinating dive sites in Vis.
Within a 30-minute swim, divers will encounter five caverns and a small tunnel. As you venture inside these caverns, you'll be greeted by colorful walls and ceilings adorned with an abundance of plant and animal life. The transition between light and dark in these caverns offers a vibrant display of activity, with countless crustaceans, scorpionfish, and moray eels in their natural habitat. Keep an eye out for tiny shrimps dotting the sandy bottoms in the darkest areas. And don't miss the intriguing cardinalfish, known for their distinctive red color and fascinating behavior of swimming upside down along the bedrock.
If you're observant, you may even catch a glimpse of your own reflection on the cave ceilings. The bubbles released by divers while breathing form small airbags, creating a magical mirror-like effect in certain areas.
With excellent visibility of 21m and a maximum depth of 21m, this dive site is suitable for both beginner and advanced divers.
