Baung Penyu Bay / Turtle Neck

Located just 10 minutes from the beach in Bali, Indonesia, this dive site offers a breathtaking combination of coral reef and sandy rubble, forming a long slope that leads to a wall. With a maximum depth of 18 meters and visibility reaching up to 16 meters, it is a perfect spot for beginner divers.

Home to a diverse array of marine life, this site serves as a habitat for sea floor predators such as cuttlefish, octopus, blue ribbon eels, moray eels, devil fish, as well as smaller creatures like nudibranchs, shrimp, and crabs. It is a paradise for underwater photographers, especially those interested in macro photography.

To reach this dive site, you can take a fishing boat named Turtle Neck or Baong Penyu. The excursion begins with a beautiful sight of soft coral formations at a depth of 5 meters. As you descend further, you will encounter the sloping rubble, perfect for capturing mesmerizing macro images. The slow current in this area makes it an excellent location for practicing drift diving skills.
