Samograd

Samograd, the southernmost island of the Kornati archipelago in Croatia, boasts a captivating dive site that is sure to mesmerize advanced divers. The highlight of this underwater adventure is a magnificent wall that stretches from south to north. At a depth of 22 meters, you will encounter vibrant red fan corals, creating a breathtaking spectacle.

For further exploration, make your way to the small plateau located 33 meters below the surface. Here, you can observe the elusive and intriguing lobsters in their natural habitat. The wall itself is adorned with striking sulphur sponges, while schools of fish gracefully swim above the surrounding sea grass.

As you venture deeper into the depths, the red fan corals gradually give way to stunning yellow ones. This transition adds an extra layer of visual delight to the dive, making it truly one of the most captivating experiences in the Kornati area.

It's important to note that due to the depth of this dive and the complexity of the underwater terrain, this site is recommended for advanced divers only. However, those who meet the necessary skill level will be rewarded with an unforgettable underwater journey unlike any other.

Located approximately 10 nautical miles from Murter, in the Šibenik-Knin County of Croatia, Samograd is easily accessible for divers seeking an extraordinary adventure. With excellent visibility reaching up to 18 meters and a maximum depth of 23 meters, this dive site is a true gem waiting to be explored.
