Medhu Thila

This dive site, known as Medhukuburudhoo Thila, is situated approximately 30 minutes south of Fairmont Maldives Sirru Fen Fushi in the beautiful country of Maldives. A "thila" refers to an underwater mount that does not reach the surface. The site starts at a fairly shallow depth of around 5 meters and gradually descends to over 30 meters on all sides. Divers typically explore the northern side of the thila, where the majority of the action, including enticing overhangs, can be found.

Medhukuburudhoo Thila offers a great opportunity to encounter the elusive silver tip reef shark and majestic eagle rays, particularly when the right current is present. Don't miss out on this excellent diving spot.

What to expect at Medhukuburudhoo Thila: Napoleon wrasses, turtles, stingrays, moray eels, silver tip sharks, eagle rays, fusiliers, and big eye jack fish, among many other stunning reef fish. The depth ranges from 5 meters to beyond 30 meters.

With visibility reaching up to 15 meters and a maximum depth of 23 meters, this site caters to divers of all levels, including beginners, advanced divers, and experts. It is conveniently located close to Shaviyani, Maldives.
