Malvin Norte

Malvin North East Islet, also known as "The Turtle" due to its unique shape, is the older sister of Malvin Sur. These two dive sites are located in close proximity, approximately 500 meters apart.

Divers exploring Malvin Norte will encounter a diverse array of marine life, including barracudas, groupers, conger eels, moray eels, octopuses, and lobsters. They may also witness tunas hunting smaller marine creatures. The dive site features a range of bottom topography, starting from just a couple of meters and gradually sloping downward. This makes it an ideal location for diving students of all levels, from those participating in introductory dives to those pursuing their Open Water Diver certification. The progressive depth allows students to acclimate themselves to the marine environment.

One notable feature of Malvin Norte is the presence of extensive oceanic posidonia prairies in the shallower areas. These prairies, thriving under the exposure to sunlight, harbor a variety of typical fauna. Of particular interest is the Syngnathus tiple, also known as the Broad-Nose Pipefish. This Mediterranean species, closely related to seahorses, possesses remarkable camouflage capabilities, resembling a leaf of the posidonia plant.

For more experienced divers, Malvin Norte offers thrilling opportunities as well. Descending to depths of almost thirty meters, there are engaging areas to explore.
