Cuevas de la luz

The Cave of Light is a well-known and highly regarded dive site situated in the beautiful island of Ibiza, Spain. Nestled beneath the cliffs of the breathtaking and unspoiled Aubarca Bay, this dive offers an incredible underwater experience for divers of all levels.

Exploring the caves, divers will encounter a diverse array of fascinating invertebrates such as feather duster worms, cylinder anemones, and actinias. Occasionally, shoals of common dolphinfish can be spotted within the depths of the Cave of Light, adding to the allure of this underwater wonderland.

The dive begins a mere 20 meters from the entrance of the cave, at a magnificent arch that stretches from a depth of 4 meters and descends to a maximum depth of 16 meters. Upon entering, divers will find themselves in a spacious circular cavity, with the ceiling soaring 15 meters above the water's surface. This expansive chamber boasts a large opening, allowing the more adventurous divers to access it from land. The cave derives its name from the sunlight that filters through this opening, creating a mesmerizing display of light and shadow during the summer months. The enchanting interplay of hues bathes the cave in a captivating bluish color.

Once the exploration of the Cave of Light concludes, the dive continues towards the Hercules Columns. This picturesque submerged cave awaits at a depth of just 9 meters, captivating divers with its two grand columns seemingly supporting the cave's ceiling.

With an impressive visibility of 19 meters and a maximum depth of 20 meters, the Cave of Light is an ideal dive site for beginners. Located in the scenic region of Sant Joan de Labritja, Ibiza, in the Balearic Islands of Spain, it offers divers a remarkable and unforgettable underwater adventure.
