Lhosfushi Kuda Kandu

Kuda Kandu, which means "small channel," is located north of the Guraidhoo channel in the Maldives. This dive site features a shallow sandy bottom at a depth of 12 meters and a width of 10 meters. It is situated deep inside the atoll and boasts a beautiful collection of stony corals, providing excellent hideaway spots for blue stripe yellow snappers.

Divers can expect to encounter an array of marine life including white tip reef sharks, green turtles, napoleon wrasses, Jack fishes, Ribbon eels, and grey reef sharks. The channel is teeming with fish, from sleeping white tip reef sharks on the channel slopes to big turtles gracefully swimming among the sponges on the reef. Stunning teardrop and thread fin butterfly fish can also be spotted underwater. Additionally, during the west monsoon season, lucky divers may even catch a glimpse of majestic mantas passing by near the corner.

With a visibility of 21 meters and a maximum depth of 24 meters, Kuda Kandu is suitable for divers of all levels, including beginners, advanced divers, and experts. Located close to Guraidhoo Corner, Guraidhoo-Lhosfushi Bridge, Kaafu, 08080, Maldives, this dive spot offers a memorable and rewarding experience for divers exploring the Maldives' underwater world.
