Dragon’s Mouth

Dragon's Mouth is a popular dive site located on the outer reef of North Male Atoll in the Maldives. This classic and beloved dive spot offers divers a well-protected inlet with a variety of caves to explore. The most stunning caves, adorned with vibrant sponges and soft corals, can be found at depths ranging from 10 to 15 meters.

Situated just two channels west of Malé, the capital city of Maldives, Dragon's Mouth can sometimes be bustling with activity. However, thanks to its ample size, even with a few dive boats present, the site doesn't feel crowded. Whether you're a beginner or an advanced diver, this location suits divers of all levels due to its manageable depths.

To fully experience Dragon's Mouth, we conduct drift dives in either direction. Typically, we commence the dive at a deeper starting point (18 meters or 30 meters, depending on your certification level) and gradually ascend, passing impressive fan corals until we reach the enchanting caves. Don't forget to bring your torch and camera to capture the captivating beauty within.

Not only is Dragon's Mouth a feast for the eyes, but it also offers a few cleaning stations where sweet lips, soldier fish, and groupers receive post-meal treatments from cleaner fish. Overall, this dive is considered easy, providing a depth range from 5 to 30 meters.
