Le Miro
Located southeast of La Fourmigue, just a 30-minute boat ride from the diving center, this dive site offers a captivating underwater experience. Dive enthusiasts of various levels, from beginners to advanced divers, can explore this site safely and comfortably. The site is easily identifiable by the mooring buoy located at the top, only 0.80m from the water's surface.
Divers will encounter a small, through-perforated dry hole at a depth of 17m. The wide tunnel provides a unique opportunity for divers to navigate through the ceiling, ensuring an exhilarating and memorable dive. The visibility at this site extends up to an impressive 17m, allowing divers to fully appreciate the diverse marine life that inhabits the area.
The underwater landscape of this dive site is teeming with various species of macro and rock fish, including moray eels, groupers, scorpion fish, and occasionally rays. Divers will have the chance to observe these fascinating creatures in their natural habitat, creating unforgettable moments beneath the waves.
As divers begin their descent, gliding along the peak at a depth of 18/20 meters, they will inevitably come across the entrance to the passage, where an intriguing statue of Miro awaits. Exploring this superb passage, divers will be treated to the sight of numerous nudibranchs, such as Flabelines and Doris Dalmatian, as well as walls adorned with delicate "sea mimosas" and majestic moray eels.
Towards the end of the dive, divers can venture around the peak at a depth of 5-7 meters, surrounded by schools of castagnoles. Additionally, those with a keen eye will find numerous nudibranchs gracefully moving in the surf.
