L2D “Tabby“ (Japaness DC-3)

LST, short for "Landing Ship, Tank," served as a vessel for transporting troops, tanks, and cargo directly onto hostile beaches. The specific wreck in question is believed to belong to the LST 1 class, with the unfortunate distinction of being the sole ship of its class lost in Subic Bay.

Located near Triboa Bay and situated at a depth of 32 meters, the wreck hosts a diverse array of marine life, including whip corals, sea fans, hydroids, and vibrant schools of jacks, snappers, and spadefish. The deck of this sunken ship teems with marine biodiversity, making it an enticing destination for a reef dive. Divers of advanced or expert level are recommended to explore this fascinating site.

With a maximum depth of 26 meters and visibility at around 5 meters, this wreck offers an immersive underwater experience for divers to appreciate its grandeur and enchanting marine inhabitants. The ship's expansive size has attracted a flourishing population of local fish species, contributing to the mesmerizing sight of several fish schools gracefully meandering across the top deck.

Experience the wonders of this remarkable reef dive and discover the secrets that lie beneath the surface. Explore the LST wreck in Subic Bay and immerse yourself in an unforgettable adventure.
