Edna’s Anchor

This dive site explores the captivating sand/reef edge leading to an exhilarating drop off. The underwater landscape slopes gradually like a ski slope, starting at about 22 meters and reaching a maximum depth of 65 meters. Nestled between two coral bommies at 24 meters lies the impressive anchor of the historic schooner Edna, which met its watery fate in Atiu.

Divers can expect a diverse array of marine life, including parrotfish, scorpionfish, lionfish, turtles, crocodile needlefish, peacock groupers, damselfish, Christmas tree worms, pineapple sea cucumbers, and magnificent porites corals.
