Colosseum is a renowned dive site situated on the western side of Thulusdhoo Island in the beautiful country of Maldives. This captivating underwater destination features an extraordinary large indentation resembling a Roman amphitheatre at a depth of approximately 20m. The Colosseum is not only a symbol of this dive site but also serves as a popular gathering spot for a diverse range of marine creatures.

At this remarkable dive spot, you can expect to encounter an impressive array of underwater life. From majestic reef sharks and graceful turtles to swift tunas, jackfish, napoleons, and mesmerizing mantas, the possibilities are endless. Additionally, lucky divers might even have the privilege of encountering magnificent whale sharks and big hammerheads in these waters.

There are various ways to explore the Colosseum dive site. One approach involves starting at the corner and descending directly to depths of 25m/30m, allowing yourself to be carried along by the currents into the channel. Alternatively, you can opt to drift from the reef top. However, it is important to note that the channel version should only be attempted by experienced divers due to occasional strong currents in the area. In the deeper sections, it is not uncommon to come across grey reef sharks, especially during the right season. Furthermore, lucky divers may also encounter astonishing marine creatures such as silvertip sharks, mantas, eagle rays, and perhaps even whale sharks.
