Canibal Rock
Canibal Rock, located in the southern area of Komodo National Park, is a popular dive site in Indonesia. With its gradual slope and maximum depth of 40m, it caters to divers of all levels. However, due to the possibility of longshore and/or down current present, it is recommended for advanced or expert divers. The highlight of this site is the vibrant soft and hard coral, along with an abundance of macro life. Divers can expect to encounter trevallies, snapper, sweetlips, reef fishes, fusiliers, eels, dragonets, reef sharks, crabs, miamira nudibranchs, pygmy seahorses, rhinopias, frogfish, and sea apples.
Cannibal Rock stands as a pinnacle, rising close to the surface, where stunning sea fans serve as hiding spots for pygmy seahorses. Nudibranchs can be spotted on every coral bomie, while orange frogfish of various sizes find their residence here. Keep an eye out for their mottled tails, which give away their hiding place. With a visibility of 14m and a maximum depth of 24m, this dive site demands the skills of advanced or expert divers. Situated in the district of Kabupaten Manggarai Barat, East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia, Cannibal Rock offers a thrilling underwater adventure for those seeking a deep diving experience.
