Anna Jacobapolder
The Anna Jacobapolder dive site is situated across from the Zoetersbout dive site in the Netherlands. Located at a former ferry port connecting Anna-Jacobapolder and Zijpe, this site now hosts an oyster farm amidst the main dams.
Divers can expect a diverse range of marine life, including North Sea crabs, lobsters, brittle stars, sepia, flatfish, tube worms, and slender spider crabs, among others. The underwater landscape features a steep slope leading to depths exceeding 30 meters, adorned with boulders teeming with vibrant marine ecosystems.
Due to its proximity to a bustling channel, caution is advised when ascending freely at this dive site. Contrary to Zoetersbout, it is recommended to explore the Anna Jacobapolder dive site during the changing tide, preferably at high tide. Here, the abundance of vegetation offers a glimpse into the diverse life forms that thrive in the Oosterschelde region. Additionally, an array of fish can be spotted near the end of the dam.
With a visibility of approximately 4 meters and a maximum depth of 11 meters, this dive site is best suited for advanced divers. Plan your underwater adventure at the Anna Jacobapolder dive site, conveniently located near Rijksweg, De Sluis, Sint Philipsland, Tholen, Zeeland, Netherlands, 4675RT, Netherlands.
