Upon arrival, you'll find a designated area where you can set up your gear conveniently. The quarry provides easy access to the water via stairs, allowing you to embark on your diving adventure seamlessly. However, please note that the entrance leads directly into deep water, making it unsuitable for complete beginners.
Once submerged, you'll be greeted by the enchanting sight of pike and schools of small fish gracefully swimming near the surface at shallower depths. With a maximum depth of 14m and a visibility of approximately 4m, Žernovka Quarry offers divers of all levels an opportunity to explore its underwater wonders. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced diver, you'll find something captivating in the depths of this quarry.
To ensure a hassle-free visit, the quarry operates on a prior arrangement basis. Simply contact the quarry operator, Koželák, at 737 77 63 63 to obtain the lock code that secures the entrance gate. The entrance itself is located near the road sign labeled "end of Zernovka village." While parking can be a bit challenging, exercise caution and consider parking along the fence or by the nearby woods for convenience.
After your dive, please remember to lock the gate with the provided lock, ensuring the code remains undisclosed. As a safety measure, we kindly request that you send a text message to notify us of your well-being and, if possible, include a visibility report. Your safety is our top priority, and your feedback is invaluable to us.
For the privilege of diving in the quarry, we charge a fee of 100 CZK per person, per day. The cash box is conveniently located in the corner of the changing area, identifiable by the hole in the board and the attached tube. Please place your payment in the plastic tube before placing it in the cash box.
