Lom Hříměždice
The dive site at the quarry is accessible to divers year-round, making it an ideal destination for those seeking underwater exploration outside of the summer season. With a maximum depth of 8 meters, this small yet charming quarry possesses its own unique allure. While there are no dedicated diving facilities on-site, divers can conveniently change and don their gear under the shelter of a nearby roof.
Upon entering the quarry, divers may encounter a variety of aquatic life including pikes, small fish, and larger perches dispersed throughout the entire area. Additionally, divers can explore interesting features such as a mine cart, a crawlable tube, and other intriguing remnants. Adding to the picturesque atmosphere, the quarry is adorned with beautiful blooming water lilies.
Notably, the quarry had operated as a granite extraction site until 1953. An interesting aspect of this location is its elevated position on a hill, suggesting that it is likely fed by Artesian water from below.
With a visibility of approximately 4 meters, this dive site offers suitable conditions for beginner-level divers to hone their skills and expand their underwater experiences. Situated in Czechia, in the region of Central Bohemia, the quarry is specifically located in Kujalův lom, Milovičova, Hřiměždice, within the Příbram District (postcode: 26214).
