Vandhoo (The) Wall
One of the highlights of this dive is the presence of a cleaning station for Mantas on the TOP reef, which is active between June and November. This attracts a variety of marine life, including numerous fish species, Napoleons, turtles, gray reef sharks, Silvertips, manta rays, snails, and vortex worms. On top of that, divers can also explore an abundance of macro life on the reef top and the sloping slope.
Compared to Kottefaru Kanmathi, the diving experience at Vandhoo is slightly distinct. The wall here is not as deep, reaching only a maximum depth of 24 meters, and covers a shorter distance of 250 meters. Before and after the wall, it transitions diagonally into a plateau, which levels off at 25 meters. In the northern part of the dive site, divers can encounter recurring sightings of gray reef sharks and various rays, adding excitement to the underwater adventure. A cleaning station is sporadically found at a depth of 27 meters. Additionally, the designated station for mantas is located on the reef top at 8 meters.
With excellent visibility of 18 meters, this dive site offers a thrilling experience for divers of all levels, from beginners to advanced and expert. Located close to Raa, Maldives, this captivating underwater exploration at Vandhoo is a must-visit for diving enthusiasts.
