The Sisters
The Sisters, a standalone rock formation located off Cape Brett in New Zealand, offers a unique diving experience. The rock splits into two, forming a narrow canyon at a depth of 10m. On the seaward side, the rock drops off dramatically to depths of 40m or more, revealing a stunning underwater landscape of boulders. On the inland side, the depth reaches 30m. The cracks in the rocks provide a habitat for Moray Eels and Crayfish. The sloping walls of the rock are adorned with vibrant colors, attracting a variety of nudibranchs such as Gem, Clown, and Febelinas. The strong current around the rock serves as a magnet for schooling fish, including Maomao and Two-spot Demoiselle. Divers at an advanced level can expect encounters with Splendid Perch, Scorpionfish, Kingfish, and occasionally, sharks.
