Rocky Top
One of the standout features of this dive site is the robust population of marine life. Resident green turtles gracefully roam these waters, accompanied by large schools of tomtates and small mouth grunts. This site also boasts one of the healthiest coral ecosystems in the Upper Keys, making it a true underwater gem.
Our dedicated crew holds a special connection to this site, as it serves as a home for a Green Sea Turtle named Rocky. Thanks to the assistance of the Key Dive crew, Rocky was rescued and rehabilitated at the Marathon Turtle Hospital before being released back into the ocean. Now, divers at this site frequently encounter Rocky in his natural habitat. Moreover, this dive site is a hub for coral outplanting and monitoring, spearheaded by the project known as I.CARE.
