Ras Gomaa
With its calm waters, the southern end of the reef is the most popular area for divers. At a depth of 27m, a vibrant Red Anemone stands out against the backdrop. The western corner of the reef boasts a stunning coral garden, ranging from 5 to 12m in depth. It resembles a mesmerizing aquarium, bustling with schools of Black Snappers, Red Tooth Triggerfish, and Cornet Fish. During the summer months, when the sea is calmer, the northern part of the reef is accessible for exploration. Divers venture into the blue waters in search of a thrilling encounter with a school of Scalloped Hammerheads! Additionally, the wreckage of the Lara is situated at depths ranging from 45 to 120m, making it an exciting opportunity for Tec divers.
This demanding dive site requires favorable weather conditions, with minimal wind, for a safe and enjoyable experience. However, accurately predicting the current can still pose a challenge.
