Rangali Madivaru

Rangali Madivaru, also known as Madi Faru, is a popular dive site in the Maldives. This site serves as a manta cleaning station and is conveniently located at the edge where the sloping bottom meets a plateau reef, about 9 meters below the surface. It is recommended to visit this dive site during the outgoing current for an optimal experience.

Manta ray sightings are most common at Rangali Madivaru during the northeast monsoon season, which occurs between December and April. Besides the magnificent mantas, divers can also enjoy the abundant marine life present here, making it an excellent spot for macro photography.

One of the notable features of this dive site is its protection, as it is surrounded by two channels. It offers a diverse underwater landscape, with a vertical reef wall on one side and a gentle sloping bottom on the other. The cleaning station, situated at the entrance of the channel, beckons divers at a depth of approximately 8-10 meters.

Divers at Rangali Madivaru can expect thrilling encounters with manta rays, different species of rays, enchanting creatures like leaf fish and ghost pipefish, as well as the majestic moray eels and vibrant schools of fish. This dive site is suitable for divers of all levels, including beginners.
